Second Gulf War starts

The 2nd Gulf War (also called the Iraqi War) began with the invasion of Iraq by military forces led by the United States and the United Kingdom followed by a seven-year occupation. The issue was that the Iraqi government, headed by Saddam Hussein, had developed or was in the process of developing chemical weapons and weapons of mass destruction.
